In the framework of the Zero Hunger project, the Basic School No. 358 Major Enrique Junio Planas in Concepción received non-perishable food, industrial kitchens, and a refrigerator to improve the school cafeteria service, benefiting 600 students from first grade to the third cycle. The school's director, Nilce Centurión, explained that the kits received include basic products to complement the students' nutrition.
Centurión announced that the delivery of meat products is scheduled for Saturday, with the purpose of diversifying the diet of the beneficiaries. In addition, three industrial kitchens and a refrigerator were delivered to preserve perishable food. However, she pointed out the urgency of building a suitable storage facility for the products and the need to expand the cafeteria space to provide better conditions for the students who rely on this service.
