Firefighters from Paraguay managed to extinguish a fire that broke out on Sunday in an outdoor storage area of tires in the city of Pedro Juan Caballero (north), on the border with Brazil. The fire was controlled after 21 hours of hard work, without causing material damage or casualties, according to sources from the institution.
The fire spread in a lot where tires were stored and posed a serious risk due to the flammable material involved. Paraguayan firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to nearby areas that could be affected.
"Thanks to the quick action of the firefighters, the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading, which would have posed a greater danger to the area and its inhabitants," emphasized a spokesperson for the institution. Despite the magnitude of the fire, no material damage or casualties were reported due to the effective response from emergency teams.
Local authorities closely collaborated with firefighters to ensure the success of the operation and protect the safety of the community. Subsequent investigations will be carried out to determine the causes of the fire and to prevent similar situations in the future, emphasizing the importance of prevention and swift action in such emergencies.
