Talleres de Córdoba wins the International Super Cup

Talleres de Córdoba became champion of the International Super Cup after defeating River Plate in penalties, thus achieving its first historic title in this category.

The most dangerous team during the match turned out to be Alexander Medina's, whose new shot from the edge of the area from "Bebelo" was cleared by Armani, aiming for the far post and going over the crossbar. Despite the few dangerous approaches from both teams, Talleres managed to prevail in the penalty shootout, thus claiming the cup.

In the penalty shootout, River Plate's imprecision allowed Talleres to take the victory. Despite Armani's saves, Montiel and Colidio's misses prevented River from winning. Finally, Gastón Benavidez with a shot to the left corner of the goalkeeper awarded Talleres the title, their first in 26 years.

The Cordoba team was crowned champion of the International Supercup after defeating River 3-2 in penalties, following a goalless draw in regular time and overtime. In this historic victory for Talleres, Mosqueira, Bustos, and Benavidez converted from the twelve steps, while Reynoso missed his shot.

Despite Armani's outstanding performance stopping two shots, the penalties missed by Montiel, Lanzini, and Colidio, along with Rojas' wayward shot, prevented River from taking the trophy. Talleres thus achieves their first national title in the club's history, adding to the Copa Conmebol won in 1999.
