River players Sebastián Driussi and Lucas Martínez Quarta suffered injuries in the defeat last Wednesday against Talleres in the International Supercup in Paraguay. After medical examinations, it was determined that Driussi has compromised his left hamstring, while Martínez Quarta suffered a problem with his right quadriceps.
Both footballers join the absence of midfielder Giuliano Galoppo and will miss the next three matches of River against Atlético Tucumán, Deportivo Riestra, and Ciudad de Bolívar in the Copa Libertadores. In the match against Talleres, Facundo Colidio replaced Driussi, who left the field due to an injury sustained while trying to evade an opposing defender.
On his part, Martínez Quarta requested a substitution in the second half due to a quadriceps problem he had been carrying since the first half, where he received medical attention several times. Paulo Díaz entered in place of the central defender, who started the match on the bench due to the starting position of Germán Pezzella.
Additionally, Enzo Pérez will not be able to participate in the next match against Atlético Tucumán, as he was sent off in the previous match against Estudiantes for a serious foul on Cristian Medina.
