The former senator of the Nation, Edgardo Kueider, and his secretary, Iara Guinsel Costa, were forced to leave the building where they were serving house arrest after their neighbors demanded the termination of the rental contract. The eviction took place in an apartment in the Tierra Alta del Maestro complex, located in downtown Asunción, Paraguay, when the owners refused to renew their contract at the request of the owners' consortium.
Both defendants had to leave the residence and were moved to a residence in the San Vicente neighborhood by order of Judge Humberto Otazú, who also ordered them to remain under the jurisdiction of the 14th Metropolitan Police Station. The defense of the former senator and his secretary formally submitted a request for a change of address on January 20, which was analyzed and deemed relevant by the prosecutor handling the case. Subsequently, the judge confirmed the decision to change their place of residence.
