The President of the National Congress, Basilio "Bachi" Nuñez, announced the launch of an initiative aimed at strengthening the relationship between citizens and legislators from different political parties. The proposal also seeks to tighten local ties with leaders from various social sectors.
"We will start from the National Congress a departmental legislative agenda under the motto 'The Senate with the Citizenship'. This project includes meetings with departmental authorities, intermediary organizations, entrepreneurs, visits to media outlets, among other activities," Nuñez expressed through his official social media.
The congressman of the National Republican Association (ANR) added that the goal is to bring the Senate closer to the citizenship and promote a direct dialogue about the needs and priorities of each region in the country. It is expected that information will soon be provided about the first departments that will be visited by parliamentarians.
In this regard, Nuñez highlighted: "The project seeks to strengthen the bonds between citizens and legislators, as well as to establish a permanent dialogue with local leaders to understand firsthand the demands and concerns of the people in each region."
